The Rainbow Push Coalition's Mission Statement

The Rainbow PUSH Coalition is an organization for social justice in Silicon Valley that fights for fairness and economic justice. Their campaigns are about workers' rights and getting people to work together. The Coalition has also taken on controversial issues, like the killing of George Floyd, which led to protests and rallies worldwide supporting Black lives. It was started by Jesse Jackson, who was married at the time. In 2001, he had an affair with Karin Stanford, which led to an unplanned pregnancy. Jackson was giving former President Bill Clinton pastoral therapy at the time.


Rev. Jesse Jackson started the Rainbow PUSH Coalition in 1971. It has offices in Chicago and other cities across the country. The organization's main office is in Chicago, and there are also offices in New York, Detroit, and Los Angeles. It also has offices in Chicago and a few other big cities. The Rainbow/PUSH Coalition doesn't just want to help one group of people. Instead, it wants to push for policies that help all Americans.


The Rainbow/PUSH Coalition's main office is in Bronzeville, on the South Side of Chicago. The controversial movie Native Son was also shot there. The movie is about a young Black man from the Bronzeville neighborhood. In 2013, the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition and Operation PUSH joined together to make a more extensive group that works to improve civil and human rights in the U.S.


Around the middle of the 1990s, Meeks started to work with the leaders of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. He hasn't said when he'd leave, but he's willing to keep working for the organization's long-term success. The Rev. Meeks is also interested in how well the group does. But he doesn't want to be stuck with a one-time role. Instead, he would rather spend his time ensuring the organization is thriving and planning for who will lead it in the future.


The Rainbow/PUSH Coalition is a group of people who work on civil rights issues together. The Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr. started it to give people advocacy. The Coalition helps fund research on important policy issues, gathers information on nonpartisan projects, and organizes campaigns to raise public awareness. Saturday mornings at 10 a.m., public television shows what the organization is doing. On the other hand, the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition is a small but very influential group doing important work all over the country.


Rev. Jesse Jackson started an organization called Operation PUSH in 1971. The group's goal was to make things better economically for black people in Chicago. During this time, the group had many branches all over the country. Along with working to improve people's lives, the group has also reached agreements with large and small businesses. The Rainbow Push Coalition powerful group in Chicago and has a long history of working for civil rights.
